Going to university is an exciting step and we want to make sure that you have a great start to your new life here at the University of South Wales!

This is not a definitive list (we're hoping these are the things you may not have thought about)

Enrol online & check out your induction timetable

Once you've been accepted you should receive an email from USW which will give you instructions on how to enrol online. Once you've enrolled, you can view your induction timetable.

Set your family up with Skype/Facetime

If you're moving away from home, this is the ideal time to teach your family how to video call, it'll be like you never left.

Get discounts

Oh yes, the D word. This will become your favourite word as a student, apart from 'degree' at the end (maybe). Take advantage of over 200 discounts with an NUS Extra card for only £12. You can buy one online or from the SU Info Desk.

Join sports clubs and societies

From Salsa dancing to Pizza Appreciation, there’s a club or society just waiting for you to be a part of. Head down to Freshers’ Fair to check out what’s on offer and give something new a go.

Buy your Freshers' tickets

We've put together a jam packed programme of events for Freshers, there’s something for everyone and it’s a fantastic way to make new friends. Popular events sell out quickly so be sure to buy your tickets early.

Join us on social media

This is a really good way of keeping track on things going on during Freshers' and throughout the rest of the year. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or if you prefer videos of our cute little campus bunnies follow us on Snapchat

Work out how to get around campus

This can be a bit daunting at first, but everyone will be in exactly the same position. Take a look at these handy campus maps, and if you're about for some super swotting try this life saving find a room tool.
